Today’s topic may seem counterintuitive to some and maybe a little challenging to understand even more. I’ll leave that right there…for now. However, as a follower of Christ, heeding His instruction is important no matter what the masses say or think. That being said, when God says “go” how quickly do you respond?
Thinks that make you go…Hmmm
Great question right?
As much as I don’t like “challenges” I also don’t like to be stagnant let alone settle for what I know is intended for the better.
What about you?
One topic, in particular, is faith.
We have been told time and time again that God has plans for us – individually & collectively.
How many times do you have to be told to do something?
Come on now? Be honest. He already knows the answer to that question.
Sometimes, for me, it’s several times. Why? Every now and then, that gut feeling isn’t a God nudge but a selfish leading. It takes discernment to know the difference.
One thing I’ve learned is there is peace in the one’s that come from God.

Individually
You may feel a nudge every now and then to do certain things and those experiences have the potential to lead you to discern which decisions are better than others. (I call those God nudges)
A few things could be:
- Leaning into an interest
- Like starting a flower garden
- Asking deeper questions
- “What does “that” mean?”
- Changing the music you listen to
- Start listening to influential people instead of that certain person
Who knows, those simple choices could change your life for the better.
How often do you thank the Lord for that prompting?
One song that’s helped me in many ways is: I will follow by Chris Tomlin
Collectively
When you are led by the Holy Spirit to do something as a family that can become another story all in itself. Right?
Sure, It could lead to more questions than answers, but that doesn’t mean you do anything until you get an answer.
Or it could be the change that means more for the future of your entire family.
In truth, we don’t know God’s plans for us but He does. It’s our job to trust.
What if you were given a nudge to leave a certain place of worship? A place you called home for a number of years? Less than a handful of years ago we did just that!
